Thompson Falls State Park

Attractions include fishing, nature walks, bird watching and boating. A relaxing and comfortable place to camp, this park has been designated a primitive park and is 36 acres at an elevation of 2,362 feet. Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, bicycling, wildlife viewing and photography are available.

Kids can fish for trout in the fishpond, and a riverside trail provides ample river access. A small boat launch is provided, and a full-sized launch for larger boats is available ½ mile from the park.
Thompson Falls State Park is located on the Clark Fork River 63 miles from the mouth on the right hand side as you face down stream. Thompson Falls is one of 24 FWP managed sites on the Clark Fork River.

There are 17 campsites with a trailer maximum length of 30 feet. There are vault toilets, water and a boat ramp. There is a group use area, boat trailer and extra vehicle parking, grills/fire rings, vault toilets, picnic tables, firewood and pack-in pack-out trash control, so remember to bring your own trash bags! Pets are required to be on a leash and a maximum stay of 14 days out of 30 is allowed. There is a golf course and a museum located nearby in Thompson Falls. There is a $5.00 day use fee and $12.00 fee for overnight camping each night.
